Patients are seen by GP/Consultant referral only and patients are given an appointment based on clinical priority.

Our services
We will see patients at the request of GPs and priority will be given to cases that are deemed urgent. Referrals can be made by post, telephone, or email.

Parents/Guardians:
Appointment notices are sent via post. You will be contacted by telephone one week prior to your appointment to re-confirm. We depend on patients to cancel/confirm their appointments at least 3 days prior to their appointment in order to accommodate another patient who is on an urgent waiting list.

The Private Clinic at CHI at Temple Street Children’s University Hospital comprises three consulting rooms with wheelchair access, baby changing facilities and a child friendly waiting room with play area. Our aim is to provide an efficient service.
We will see patients at the request of GP’s and priority will be given to cases that are deemed urgent. Referrals can be made by post, telephone or emails apart from Dr Lynch (Consultant Paediatric Neurologist), Mr Cascio (Consultant Paediatric Urologist), Dr Browne (Consultant Paediatric Dermatologist) and Dr Houlihan (Consultant Paediatric Psychiatrist) whose appointments can only be made following receipt of referral letter.
Please also kindly note that email correspondence cannot be relied upon if you have an urgent clinical query. In this regard, please contact the Private Clinic by telephone and your query will be logged and responded to in a reliable and timely manner.
The Private Clinic is administered by experienced medical secretaries who will ensure that all referrals are seen as soon as possible and if necessary will make specials arrangements with the Consultant when cases are deemed urgent.
As we are located on site at CHI at Temple Street, we have access to laboratory, X-Ray, physiotherapy facilities and admissions facilities via the Private Clinic to our Private Ward and other designated private beds throughout the hospital.
