Main Reception Desk
The Main Reception Desk welcomes all patients, families and visitors to the hospital and gives advice/directions in relation to facilities within the hospital. All general post/couriers in and out of the hospital are managed through the Main Reception Desk. Please ask the Receptionist for further details if you are expecting a delivery/registered post. All post is delivered to wards on a daily basis.
Volunteers - Children in Hospital Ireland
Volunteers from the organisation Children in Hospital Ireland, are on hand to help you on your arrival and to entertain and reassure your child and allow you to take some time for a coffee, a shower or a short nap. All our volunteers are vetted and trained, and have a genuine passion for their work. They offer a high quality service and you can be assured they will do their best to help you and your child.
Pharmacy
There is a Pharmacy available adjacent to the hospital on Errigal Road. Medical Card prescriptions are available at this pharmacy. This is an independent community pharmacy and is not managed by the hospital.
Taxis
There is a taxi rank outside the hospital on the Crumlin Road. You can order a taxi via the RED freephone taxi line located at the Hospital Main Reception.
Shop
The Hospital Shop is open Monday - Friday 07.30hrs - 21:00hrs, Saturday & Sunday 09.30hrs - 20:00hrs offering a variety of drinks, juices, snacks, tea/coffee, etc.
Hospital Canteen
The hospital Canteen is located on the main hospital corridor and is for the use of staff and parents/guardians. There are vending machines with sandwiches/snacks located throughout the hospital in common areas.

Coffee Shops
There are two coffee shops located on the ground floor of the hospital, beside the canteen and main out patients departments and are run by outside management franchise.
Jelly Bean:
Monday to Friday 08:00hrs - 16:00hrs
Market Kitchen:
Monday to Friday: 07.30hrs - 18:00hrs
Saturday and Sunday: 07:30hrs - 17:00hrs
ATM - Cash Machine
There is an ATM machine located opposite the Jelly Bean coffee shop in the Main Out Patients Department.
Post
There is an external post box located at Main Reception Desk. Stamps can be purchased in the Hospital Shop.
Chapel
Masses are currently not taking place in the Hospital Chapel located on the ground floor. Check Chapel Notice Board for mass times. The Chapel is open all day for parents/guardians. Citizen Advice Bureau
The Citizen Advice Bureau provides information on public services and entitlements in Ireland. It is provided by the Citizens Information Board and is located outside the Hospital Canteen. Opening Hours: Tuesday 09:30hrs – 13:30hrs and Thursday 09:30hrs-13:30hrs
Smoking Free Campus
Since November 2014, Children's Health Ireland at Crumlin is a no smoking campus. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the hospital grounds. If you wish to smoke, please do so, outside the blue perimeter line you see painted to indicate the edge of hospital grounds.
Security
The Security Office is located at the Main Entrance of the hospital. All lost property should be given to the Security Officer on duty. All patients/families are responsible for their property when on the hospital site.
Dog Kennels
Would you like your dog to visit you at Cian's Kennels? Cian’s Kennels provides a dog visiting service to CHI inpatients in St John’s Ward.
