Donegal GAA Football Champions 2012 took time out of their busy schedule and made a surprise visit to the sick children attending Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin, on 24 September 2012. 

The players took time talking to the children and their families explaining all about their fitness regime and what it was like to win an All Ireland Football title.  After signing autographs for the children and their families the players toured the wards with the Sam Maguire Cup.

“I would like to thank the Donegal Football Team for their kindness today.  The children were overwhelmed with the surprise which has left a smile on their faces for the, even some children from Mayo,” said Lorcan Birthistle, Chief Executive of the Hospital.
