You are here: Home > For Parents > Your child's stay in hospital > Leaving Hospital
As soon as the doctor considers your child fit to go home, you will be informed. The hospital staff will give reasonable advance notice of discharge so that you can make the necessary arrangements. The Ward Sister or Staff Nurse will explain any procedures your child will require. He/she will advise on medication and follow-up appointments, if required, and who to contact if you have any problems. It is essential that you check with the Ward Sister or Staff Nurse before leaving the Ward.
